Hello, and welcome to the home of Virya Yoga.
Virya [ vîr-yã ] is a Sanskrit word meaning strength, power, energy and courage.
Through the practice of yoga we focus on being present in the moment. "The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, not to worry about the future, or not to anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly." ~ Buddha
By quieting the mind while exercising the body we can find our inner voice and return to our true selves. An ongoing yoga practice will strengthen and tone your body while relaxing, renewing, and recharging your mind and spirit. Yoga is more than simply an exercise program, it is a way of life.
